About 100 years ago I decided that I wanted to make one of those cute yarn wreaths.

I FINALLY finished it!

Every year there comes a time when my husband disappears.

Football season

Kyle works for the BYU football team as an equipment manager. He's down on the sideline for every game and travels with them everywhere they go (so keep an eye out for the cute redhead).

It's basically his dream job, plus they give him scholarship and pay for his books so that makes me happy!

Every now and then we see him in the background of different byu football specials on the byu channel and he pops up in different news articles. These are a few of the pictures that we've found him in.

In August we took Max on his first road trip to Oceanside, California! My dad and step-mom have a time share there and we had a blast.

First Boat Ride!

Kyle's brother, Todd and his wife Jena took us out on their boat. We love going out to Utah lake! If you can look past the dead bodies and mosquitos... just kidding just kidding, it's actually pretty dang nice! Kyle loves to go boating any chance we get, he loves his skiing and wake boarding, ya know.

This was Max's first time on a boat, and definitely not the last.

Max went on his first date with his lady friend Paisley. They don't realize it yet, but someday they will be one in holy matrimony.

Max still thinks girls have cooties, but he'll get over it.

We went to the Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days Fair and tried out our new baby carrier thingy. Kyle was so excited!

Then we went to the Gateway Mall to the Chalk Art Festival! It was so awesome! I wanted to break out in Mary Poppins songs the whole time...

In honor of the new movie coming out. (Kyle might pee his pants, he's so excited to see it)

My brother just graduated from the University of Minnesota in Hospital Administration! Woot! We're so proud of him!

He and his saucy wife Stacy and their little girl Ella came to visit for a while, we love love LOVE IT when they come to visit :)

A Few Peterson Family Adventures

Max's best buddy Parker came all the way from Colorado to visit him! They enjoyed some delicious grub at Burger Supreme and then played a heated game of bowling.

Parker and his assistant Cam rolled their ball determined for a strike while Max and his assistant Kyle plotted their next move.

After that we went to our beautiful cousins wedding reception. The lovely Mrs. Miller was there and hung out with Max for a bit.

The following day we blessed Max. It was such a great day! I love it when all of our friends and family get together.

Max wore the same shoes his daddy wore when he was blessed.

Kyle gave Max an incredibly sweet blessing. It was a perfect day :)

But lets not forget the U2 CONCERT!!!

We had so much fun!

I can't believe how quickly these last few months have gone. It feels like we just left the hospital! Max is so much fun. He's smiling a ton now and is starting to work on his cute little laugh.

My first Mother's Day! It was so great, I loved it. Max gave me a FABULOUS gift by sleeping in till 10:00 am. My boys gave me some gorgeous flowers and a gift certificate to a spa! Also, Kyle made me breakfast in bed. I'm so lucky :) Everyday should be Mother's Day.

And last but not least, we had a surprise visit from The Jimmer on Max's 2 month birthday!

He's FINALLY here!!!

Maxwell Jeffrey Peterson

Born March 16, 2011 at 1:46 a.m.

I'm sorry these dang pictures are so small! They're from my cell phone. Darn.

Kyle and I went in to the doctors to have my weekly check up and our doctor told me that my blood pressure was a bit high and my proteins were high as well, so in the best interest of me and the baby I should go to the hospital and be induced. We were a little caught off guard but SO excited! It was such a crazy feeling... heading to the hospital and knowing that our lives were going to change forever.

They started me on the Patosin (not sure how that's spelled) and my contractions became steady and painful, so I made the best decision of my life and got the epidural. Bless the person who invented this heavenly drug!! Anyhow... the doctor came in and broke my water and also upped the dosage of Patosin. As my contractions became stronger, Max's heart rate was getting crazier. The next thing we knew, nurses were everywhere telling others to call the doctor and get someone in there because his heart rate was off the charts. They threw kyle a hair net and apron and told him to prepare for an emergency c-section.

I was absolutely freaked out. It was terrifying! The nurses gave me a shot to stop the contractions, and when they did that, his heart rate leveled out. They suspected the cord was caught either around his neck or pinned somewhere, like his arm pit. The possibility of a c-section was still on the table so Kyle, my dad, and my step-dad gave me a beautiful blessing. Another doctor came in and told me that if I was able to push, I would most likely need to be cut and she would probably have to use the forceps and the suction which could cause some trauma to the baby. Also, the doctor told us that Max was turned and facing the wrong way. Great.

13 hours later the doctor gave me the ok to start pushing. By the grace of God, Max turned and I was able to push him out without being cut or having to use the suction or forceps just under an hour.

Now our little miracle is here and we couldn't be prouder parents. We love him so much and can't imagine life without him.

He had some jaundice so we had to keep him on this little "tanning bed" for a few days. He's doing MUCH better!

Our little guy is due to make his appearance any day now! He's technically due the 17th, but the doctor thinks I'm progressing so well it could possibly be sooner...so we wait and we wait.

But his room is ready for him!

For Halloween this year Kyle was a referee and I chose to use my large stomach as an advantage and just be a magic 8 ball...

I am the worst blogger EVER!

I tend to rely on pictures to tell our story, but i've slacked in that department as well...dang it. So for now, you'll just have to deal with my awful creative writing skills.

Things are busy but great! Kyle has been super swamped with football and school. He's taking some pretty tough classes this year (for example: Micro Biology and Organic Chemistry. ew.). But he's dang smart and pretty good looking, so he should do just fine :)

The cake business has been fairly slow this month, which I'm actually grateful for because this pregnancy makes me so dang tired! Work at A.T.E.C. is great, I love it. I seriously couldn't ask for a better job. I love my co-workers and my clients are amazing. It's a very entertaining job, to say the least. I can't even think about quitting in March, it makes me so sad. But man oh man are we excited for this baby! I'm 22 weeks along and feel him kick more and more every day. My first trimester was pretty crappy, I was sick A LOT. This second trimester has been better. I have way more energy and I don't throw up quite as much :P But this cute kid will be worth it, right? We can't wait!

So that's life as of late. Without pictures :( sorry

Every summer we stay in a condo by the beach in Oceanside, California. It's a blast and we look forward to it every year! This year we went to a Dodgers game. They lost. But that's ok. We still love 'em!

Kyle LOVES the Dodgers. Can you tell?

My dad's brother, Uncle Rudy, and his wife stopped by for a visit. It was so great to see them, it's been years!

Our beautiful, adorable, stinkin' cute niece, Ella.

We had so much fun! We're counting down the days till next summer.

And then I had a birthday and a cute post about how fun my clients were at work, but someone with a stick up their butt saw the pictures and told my boss about them, so now they're deleted.

Cool.

When I got home, Kyle had these roses waiting for me...awwww

And he got me a new cartridge for my Cricut Cake Machine that I've always wanted! Yes!

Then we went out to dinner and he surprised me with reservations at Color Me Mine. We made the COOLEST cookie jar. Probably the coolest in the entire world. It was THE BEST birthday! Woohoo!

Last week, Kyle experienced the Scottish Festival in Payson for the first time! It was so much fun. We spent a lot of the time watching the athletic competitions. Kyle's favorite was the caber toss, where a guy actually holds onto a giant tree log and throws it! Oh how I love Scottish Days...

This is "Doc Hollywood". The picture says it all.

The first video is of the caber toss! The giant log weighs 85 lbs 17.5 feet long and they have to throw it, flip it, and have it land perfectly vertical.

The second video is Jeff, the champion of the world! This iron ball thing weighs 42 lbs. The announcer said it was like holding 6 gallons of milk in one hand.

We took Katie and Amanda bowling the other day. It was a blast! Except that I tried my best and Katie still beat me. Yes, yes we both had bumpers. Bowling's not my thing. But kyle scored 192!

Kate gets a little grumpy when she doesn't get ALL of the pins down. Kyle's trying to give her a pep talk.

Lake Powell 2010!

Kyle has defined Lake Powell as his own "Celestial Kingdom". If he was given the choice between a month in Lake Powell and a month in Europe....he would chose Lake Powell. So it's easy to say, he loves it. For the most part the weather was beautiful! Except for the last day....

It was SO windy that we couldn't dock our houseboat! We had to spend an extra day there, which sounds fun, but it's not when dust and wind are blowing in your eyes! It was crazy, but everyone survived :)

My Cake Man

I need to give a shout out to my wonderful husband! He is the best partner to have in our little cake business. He runs to the store for cake emergencies, washes my dishes, and carries these HEAVY cakes up and downs stairs for me. He's also my designated delivery man and he rocks at it. He's the man.

Our most recent cake delivery was at a HUGE mansion in Orem. The reception was held in their sports room, which happened to have a jacket and a picture signed by THE Michael Jordan. Kyle's hero. He was SO excited, so we had to snap a few shots.

The cake made it there in one piece. Mission accomplished!

SLC + broken car = General Conference Weekend! yay!

It all started out so innocent . . . a nice session at the Saturday morning General Conference.

Kyle and I try to make it to at least one session of conference. It's a pretty entertaining tradition. We never get tickets in advanced, and when we get to Salt Lake, Kyle wonders the streets asking people for extra tickets while I sit and chat with the sister missionaries. It's a good time.

We ran into Karly, Kyle's twins sister, and her cute friend from Uganda!

..... AND THEN IT HAPPENED

Our car wouldn't start :(

After a loooooong day of trying to get someone to tow us home, Boots (our car) eventually started after the third person jumped our battery.

As you can see, it was all very frustrating.

But we made it home! And the happy thing is, the fix only cost us $30! woohoo!

And they lived happily ever after.

Colorado!

For Presidents Day weekend we hopped on a plane and flew to Colorado to stay with my cousin, Whitney and her hubby, Cam. We hung out, watched tons of Lost, and explored Colorado. It was a blast! They took us to this place called Garden of the Gods. It was really pretty and really CoLD! We had a blast!

Besides visiting Cam, Whit, Jeff, & Ciara, we were also checking out a med school Kyle's looking into. It's called Rocky Vista and it was incredible! We got a special tour from our friend Ken, the x-marine security guard.

Oh how we love Halloween! We had a great holiday. Luckily the cougars had a by (bi)? week so Kyle was able to spend Halloween at home. Yes! We started the day off by watching some classics with Katie and Amanda. First, a couple appetizers: The Muppet Show. classic episodes.

Second: The Nightmare Before Christmas. Third: The Corpse Bride. It was a fabulous time. After that we all got into costume. I was a witch, Kyle was a ref, Katie was Troy (Zach Effron) from High School Musical, and Amanda was Miley Cyrus. We eventually hit the street and filled up katie and amandas candy bags like nobodys business. It was a GREAT Halloween! Best holiday ever.

I'm so excited for Halloween!!! I know it's September....and it may be a bit early for a Halloween background, but I just couldnt help it. I have recently purchased a 20 piece Halloween bathroom set. Oh my. It's fantastic. It includes a shower curtain, curtain rings with bats on them and awesome mats and toilet covers. It's basically the bomb. We haven't figured out our costumes yet and it's a bit of an issue. If anyone has any ideas, let us know.

So we moved into our new house!!! Well, basement...technically. It's so great! I'll try and post some pictures soon. We love love LOVE it. Our ward is awesome and we already have a calling. CTR 6 baby! Our kids are cute, it's going to be quite the adventure.

Kyle just started school and is still celebrating the HUGE win of our beloved Cougars!!! Cakes are keeping me busy and so is ATEC. It's exhausting but so great. We're loving life!

Sorry about the lack of posts lately....life has been pretty busy! So. We're married! The whole day was absolutely perfect. We couldn't have hoped for a better day. We're living in my grandparents basement until the end of August and then it's off to Pleasant Grove.

Kyle and his BYU Intermural flag football team played in the highest division and WON THE WHOLE THING! They were freaking awesome. All they get is this t-shirt and it's the only thing Kyle has ever ever wanted. They're pretty funny actually, the front says "BYU intermural champion, The most coveted shirt on campus" and the back says "Thou shalt not covet". I thought it was pretty good. But the fame and glory didnt come without a few injuries. Kyles friend, Benji, tore his ACL. And the game before they won, a kid slamed kyle in the nose and broke it! It's been quite the situation. We went to the e.r. and they pushed it back in a little but they couldnt fix it all the way because it was SO swollen. So about five days later he had to get more bones pushed back in. It was horrible. But soooo worth it. right? :) Here's his awesome black eye. If I had a dollar for every time someone said to me, "puttin him in his place, huh?" we'd be so rich.

I decided that Kyle was pretty much the cutest kid ever.

Wedding plans are going REALLY well! Almost everything is done. We just have the gross stuff left. Like invitations. And paying people. Sick.

Kyle's in the middle of his finals right now, poor guy. I had an adventerous day at work today....I took my male clients to the af rec-center and we went swimming! wow. It was crazy, but so fun.
